WAYNE ANDERSON

Wayne Anderson

Wayne is originally from Dunedin, and, following his schooling there, he entered the primary industry sector by way of NMA & Co. Ltd., a national stock and station company.

Time at Lincoln University and then Australia led him on to Lands and Survey/Landcorp where he worked as a land development farm manager on the Chatham Islands, in the Horowhenua, and in western Golden Bay.

Along the way he gained a design qualification in Permaculture. He then worked on contract for Lincoln International, an arm of Lincoln University, at Vudal Agricultural University in Papua-New Guinea.

This was followed by thirteen years as Operations Co-ordinator with an expatriate family business, developing a 150,000 sheep and beef cattle stock unit business taking in eleven separate properties throughout the South Island.

In October 2009 Wayne set up his own Nelson-based pastoral advisory business, Paremata (Rural) Ltd., with interests in agribusiness management, livestock genetics, and diverse bio-husbandry systems.
